Our Mission
At Anthony of Padua, we believe that if we are to enjoy the fruits of our labor in the future, we must begin by creating a legacy of support and hope for the children of today... our leaders of tomorrow.
Our approach can make a difference in the lives of these children.
We show them that they are special, unique individuals that can always make their own choices in life... and that they can make a difference in their own lives, and others.
Our Future Goals
Although the summer program has been a great success for over a decade, AOP is planning to expand our services to include an after school program offering similar activities to reinforce the experiences gained at the farm.
Some of these activities would include:
· remedial reading assistance
· mathematics assistance
· general homework help
· music (singing and also instrumental, as we grow)
· dance lessons
· arts & crafts
· sports (basketball, basic gymnastics)
AOP would hope to give the children a safe place to go after school and be able to focus on their homework and get some additional reading and arithmetic help from the dedicated volunteers.
Continuing the efforts from the farm, this program would offer the children a safe place to go after school, and continue to promote their growth as individuals. By reinforcing Anthony of Padua programs throughout the year, we believe that we will be able to really increase our impacts on their devolvement, continually teaching the importance of goals and looking to the future while focusing on the present.
Anthony of Padua Gifts for Children, Inc. (AOP) is a not for profit, non-denominational organization established in 1986.
